For those of you that know us, you know that Barry and I love to 1.) travel, 2.) taste wine, and 3.) enjoy nature (relaxing and exercising). This year, we decided to enjoy all three of these loves as we celebrated our 6 year anniversary in Virginia Wine Country!
We started out our trip by first visiting a great friend in Baltimore and also taking photographs of an adorable 1-year-old (these pictures will be posted on my blog soon!) before continuing our trek to Virginia. And, holy cow, what can I say about Virginia?! It is certainly one of the most beautiful states I have ever been to! Rolling hills of lush, green farmland, rustic fences trimming fields that are dappled with horses, vineyards stretching for miles against the Blue Ridge Mountains, and charming, 100-year-old farmhouses overlooking this natural beauty. I can definitely picture myself living here at some point in my life.
Upon meticulous research of Bed and Breakfast locations, we settled on two B&Bs: one in Orange Virginia named the Inn at Westwood Farm, and one in Afton Virginia named The Farmhouse at Veritas. Both were superb and absolutely gorgeous!
